Michael Tuzeo is the owner and operater of Correra & Sons, a North Carolina painting contractor and has been in the painting industry since he was 14. His great grandfather, John Correra came to the United States from Naples, Italy in the early 1900’s. He and his brothers had several successful business in New York throughout the century.

He was a great influence on Michael’s life and especially his father’s. He was a great influence on Michael’s life and especially his father’s. In 1986, Michael’s father named his construction and painting businesses in honor of his grandfather. Correra Construction and Correra Painting & Decorating were in operation in New York until the mid 90’s. The family relocated to Palm Beach Florida and started another successful painting business.

Michael Tuzeo is continuing to honor him here in Lake Norman with Correra & Sons Painting Contractors. Although John Correra had no sons, Michael’s Grandmother told him that he would have been so proud of the name Correra & Sons. When Michael used to ask him how he stayed in business for over forty years, he told him never treat a customer like a customer, treat them like a friend and you’ll keep them for life and that has been the driving philosophy behind our company.
